SMALL SPACES, BIG PLACES
Small Spaces, Big Places was a temporary, outdoor, miniature, art project focusing on non-profit organizations/sponsors of Ocala’s vibrant arts and recreational spaces. Small versions of community buildings and locations were displayed throughout the city for a limited time. They enhanced our arts climate and brought a unique focus to some of our wonderful art spaces and community non-profits. They added a bit of whimsy, inspired imagination and play. The miniatures were not exact replicas or made to scale. Small Spaces, Big Places was an artistic impression of the big things these places provide our city. The ten pieces made by Diane were crafted of wood and paper and coated with ArtResin. Small Spaces, Big Places brought joy to the people of Ocala. It will be remembered as "the little surprises of art" dotted throughout downtown during Covid-19, a time when the lifting of spirits and tiny gestures made a huge difference.
